One week from today, August 24 I start nursing school! I'm nervous yet excited. I've already bought my books, 1000 dollars worth (now im officially a flat broke college student), gotten my schedule and taken my TEAS exam and purchased my uniforms. I have orientation thursday at 830am. My classes are not on the main campus, they are at the health professions building next to the Winchester Hospital. It's a very nice building and not too bad of a drive there. It takes me about one hour to get there. I figure it's only for 5 semesters..I can handle it. My class schedule for this fall is:
Monday- 8a-11a- Pathophysiology
Tuesday- 8a-11a- Health Assessment
12a-3p- Health Assessment Lab
4p-5p- Career and Readiness Experiences
Wednesday- 3p-9p- Comp. Nursing Prac I
Thursday- 8a-11a- Fundamental Nursing Prac Lab
12p-3p- Fundamental Nursing Prac
In addition to this schedule I have to study lots..and work two 12 hour shifts at the hospital I'm already working at. I'm working pretty much every saturday and sunday so for the next 5 semesters my life will consist of work and school...pretty boring huh! It's not like I will have any money to do anything else otherwise!
